Coventry Cathedral - June 20th, 2009

Coventry is a fine example of the problems of building a new cathedral. The ancient cathedrals were built and rebuilt over centuries. If something didn't work, you just took it down and built over. Coventry is a brand new design and most of it works well; but some of the ideas do not work so well and, so far, there hasn't been an opportunity to take them down and start over.
